Helping Our Communities Reach Educational Excellence STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT ECONOMIC GROWTH A little bit of history… PEAC emerged in 1999 out of the collaboration and commitment among local community/stakeholder support groups, primarily the Civic Development Corporation (CDC), the Ashtabula Foundation, the Ashtabula County Education Partnership (ACEP) and the Growth Partnership Education Committee. From the beginning there existed a shared common loyalty to the local communities in Ashtabula County. PEAC’s original focus stemmed from the results of the ACT 2000 process, a needs assessment of businesses, industry and political leaders, as well as communities-at-large. PEAC acts as a liaison between area businesses, industry, private sector individuals and the education community who are looking to share both knowledge and resources with students in Ashtabula County schools. As a diverse stakeholder group, PEAC is committed to supporting and partnering with educators, parents, businesses and community leaders to implement a model for Performance Excellence. PEAC appreciates the continued generous support of the Civic Development
Corporation, the Ashtabula Foundation, the Robert S. Morrison Foundation
and Friends of PEAC, as well as other community and regional organizations. |
